University of Ghana – Summer 2025

The University of Ghana, the premier university in Ghana, was founded as the University College of the Gold Coast by Ordinance on August 11, 1948, for the purpose of providing and promoting university education, learning, and research. It is known as one of the continent’s most reputable universities, making the University of Ghana the first choice for academics, researchers, and students.

Summer Program Courses:

1. Africa and the Diaspora
2. Gender and Culture in Africa
3. Chieftancy and Development in Africa
4. Appropriate Technology for Development in Africa

TWO pairs of courses are offered, and participants may select one pair:

1. Africa and the Diaspora and African Arts, its Philosophy and Criticism
2. Appropriate Technology for Development in Africa and Gender and Culture in Africa

Each pair of academic courses counts for 6 credits, with 4 lecture sessions a week for 10 weeks.
